Mount Barker District Councillors have voted to commence a user-pay hard waste collection service from mid-2022.
At Monday's Council Meeting, members endorsed the provision of a district-wide hard waste service, costing Council $300,000 a year and up to $140 per person, per collection.
Mayor Ann Ferguson joins Jennie Lenman to explain the decision in spite of some community opposition.
The two also discuss the council's investigation into the death of three pet alpacas at Callington Family Day Care, and a funding boost for the Cudlee Creek bushfire affected Harrogate Road.
