Hill's Heroes Hoping Their Ride Will Start A Conversation About Mental Health

Hills Heroes.jpg

Hill’s Heroes are a team of passionate people raising awareness and funds for beyondblue.

The team was formed to do a bike ride from Barooga NSW to Adelaide SA in July 2015, and it was not only successful in fundraising, but also in terms of getting the message out there to people with depression and anxiety. That ride raised nearly $50,000.

Hill's Heroes are on the road again October 9th to 15th - this time with a few changes in the riding group and the ride will go from Mount Gambier to Gawler on an 840km route that is definitely not in a straight line!

Their dream is not only to raise much needed funds but to also raise awareness of beyondblue with retired WNBL and Olympic basket baller Jo Hill and Miss Australia Universe Olivia Rogers, joning the committed group of everyday men and women.

Organiser Michelle Hill says Olivia is excited to join the ride but has been warned not to fall off by those supporting her Miss Universe campaign.

To follow their progress, head to their Facebook page or to donate, find the link on their website.
