South Australia's involvement in the space industry is having positive knock on effects.

Five space startups have just started in Adelaide thanks to UniSA's unique Venture Catalyst Space program.

One company, Lookinglass, is investigating AI smart mirrors that can detect the symptoms and progression of degenerative health conditions like Parkinson’s, while another, FireFlight, has created a new airborne fire mapping system.

Jasmine Vreugdenburg is the Associate Director of UniSA's Innovation & Collaboration Centre (ICC) and is one of the leaders of the program.

She joins Jennie Lenman to discuss the new co-hort of companies involved.
