Paddling for 2,400km in a kayak on the Murray River sounds like an incredibly lonely journey, but Marc Nieuwenhuys reckons it has actually had the opposite effect.

In a bid to tackle depression and speak out about mental health, Marc has been on a solo journey for the past 102 days, visiting communities and sharing his story with his more than 20,000 Facebook followers (Talking About A Lonely Journey).

With just a few days left of the venture, Marc joins Jennie Lenman on the line from Tailem Bend to talk about it.
