Every year MasterChef Australia holds a round where the contestants compete for the top prize of their dish being stocked in a Coles. Typically, this is usually a sauce as it’s easier to stock on shelves. However, this year they shook things up and asked their contestants to attempt to create a new ice cream with the theme of “winter warmer”.
The winner of this task was none other than Laura, who astounded the judges with a Sticky Date Pudding and Butterscotch sauce ice cream. When asked about her ice cream hitting shelves Laura said:
“I’m incredibly honoured and beyond excited to have won the Coles Ice Cream Challenge! It’s a dream come true to see my very own flavour stocked on Coles shelves. This sticky date pudding ice cream brings such a warm, nostalgic taste that so many Aussies will know and love, and I can’t wait to see people across the country enjoying a scoop (or two!) this winter.”
