The maritime radio repeater VHF Ch 83 has become unreliable and is deteriorating. We are concerned that we may miss an urgent call so we have suspended our daily safety monitoring service until it is replaced. The notice attached outlines alternate means for urgent calls or breakdowns. This notice has been posted at boat ramps in the area. A new facility has been ordered and is expected to be in place by early July.

Come to our Mount Barker Toastmasters club where you can do all of the above plus make friends and have fun. During our meetings you will get to practise prepared speeches, impromptu speaking and a range of other activities designed to develop you communication and leadership skills. We are a friendly club and everyone is welcome. Guests can attend multiple times for free to get a feel for the club. If you decide to join, the fee is $126 for 6 months and $100 for concession for 6 months. There is a once off $50 joining fee for the Toastmasters organisation.
