Dupang Festival

The 2026 Dupang Festival will be held on Ngarrindjeri land at Long Point from 20-22 March.

Hosted by Senior Elder Uncle Major Moogy Sumner and the Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance group, the three-day festival celebrates Aboriginal culture, connection and storytelling, and is expected to attract more than 200 attendees

Dupang brings together local, interstate and international Indigenous artists for a three day camping festival at the spectacular waterfront site on the Ngarrindjeri land Kurrangk (Coorong) on Ngarrindjeri Lands near Long Point in the Coorong, adjacent to the Coorong National Park.

Dupang festival offers an immersive experience that connects people from all walks of life, fostering mutual respect and understanding. The event blends storytelling, music, dance, interactive workshops and traditional practices, bringing culture together in a special way and in a special place.

The peak of the festival is the accumulation in a special sunset corroboree. Dupang Festival is not just a cultural event—it is a living testament to the power of art and culture in uniting people across generations, backgrounds, and experiences. Through its focus on the rich heritage of the Coorong region and its emphasis on inclusion, Dupang celebrates culture, promotes reconciliation, respect and collaboration.
