While police initially described the injuries as non-life threatening, SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens later confirmed the teenager suffered a fractured skull.

Investigations into the crash are continuing, with police calling for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.

The incident comes amid growing concern around the safety of e-scooters and e-bikes ahead of a South Australian Government review into e-mobility laws next month.

Commissioner Stevens says police are continuing to gather information about crashes and rider behaviour involving personal mobility devices.

The Nairne incident was one of two separate e-device crashes reported across South Australia on Tuesday night.
