A wild round of Murray Towns Cricket Association action had it all, led by a dramatic tie between the Wanderers and Monarto at the Showgrounds.
A dramatic chase of 178 see-sawed throughout with the last-wicket partnership of Stuart Bartlett and Ty Davis putting the Wanderers just one run away, before Bartlett was bowled on the last ball by Harry Miles to seal the tie.
Elsewhere, Meningie pulled off a huge upset in a shortened matchup on the road, beating powerhouses Mypolonga by 62 runs, while Jervois and Ramblers both won easily.
The other three cricket associations locally were mostly washed out, however two matches still got a day’s play in; Meadows thrashed Uraidla in a 30-over match and Encounter Bay posted 197 against Port Elliot to start their two-day match.
