Clayton Bay Rat Race Regatta 2026

This event has been running for 39 years on the waters of the Goolwa Channel of the Lower Murray Lakes and over this period it has attracted competitors -both young and old- on a wide range of sailing craft.

The Regatta has a lighter feel to it than usual yacht races featuring a theme based on Kenneth Grahame’s “Wind in the Willows” and the race courses circumnavigate local islands including Rat Island.

This year, the event offers five races over three courses for vessels ranging from sailboards, off the beach dinghies, catamarans and trailersailers.
