International Women’s Day

Join 5MU’s Jennie Lenman while she speaks with remarkable women who have made significant contributions to our community and beyond. Among them are Heather Barclay, the esteemed CEO of the Rural City of Murray Bridge, and Molly Bretag who was recently crowned the 2024 New Zealand National ISSF Trap Champion; something no other woman has achieved in the history of the event.

Additionally, we’ll be honoured to hear from other inspiring community figures who have positively impacted those around them.

Furthermore, representatives from women’s groups such as Soroptimist International Murray Bridge and The Haven, Murray Bridge Community Centre will be sharing valuable insights into the array of services available within our community. This will provide us all with a deeper understanding of the resources and support networks accessible to women in our area.

As the International Women’s Day website aptly states, “All IWD activity is valid, that’s what makes IWD so inclusive.” Therefore, we encourage you to join us and make this day your own by showing your support for the advancement of women in any way you can.
