Street Machine Drag Challenge
Australia’s toughest street car competition, Street Machine Drag Challenge, is returning to The Dragway at The Bend for a double dose of high-horsepower action.
The 10th annual Drag Challenge blasts off on Wednesday 29 October, with more than 280 street-registered cars launching into five gruelling days of racing and road-tripping across South Australia and Victoria.
The event then returns to The Bend on Sunday 2 November for the grand finale, when champions are crowned and the Street Machine VIP Park-Up transforms the venue into a festival of horsepower, prizes and celebration.
Drag Challenge is unlike any other motorsport event. Each car must not only race but also drive over 1,400 kilometres between tracks without support crews, proving that every machine is genuinely street legal and built to last.
Spectators can expect to see a wild mix of Aussie muscle, turbo screamers, shed-built battlers and elite street machines. It’s a rare chance to see everyday men and women racing alongside some of the biggest names in the scene, all united by the love of cars and the thrill of the challenge.
The 2025 event is completely sold out for entrants, making it the biggest Drag Challenge in history. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early to secure their spot trackside for both the opening day and the grand finale.
Street Machine Drag Challenge runs from Wednesday 29 October to Sunday 2 November 2025, visiting Dragway at The Bend, South Coast Raceway in Portland and the Atlantic Oils Sunset Strip in Mildura.
Spectators are welcome at every stop, with wall-to-wall racing, tyre smoke and real street car action. Single day tickets and 5-Day passes start from just $25.
