Twilight Street Party at Tailem Bend

The Opening of the Dragway at the Bend will kick off with a twilight street party from 5pm. Enjoy a fun evening of entertainment, great food and impressive car displays.

The opening of the Dragway at the Bend is set to fuel excitement among local, state, and national motoring enthusiasts who have been denied a suitable facility in South Australia for almost two decades. Drag racing enthusiasts will see the return of the sport once again, with the opening round of the National Drag Racing Championship and the official opening weekend being held 21-22 October 2023 at the newly branded Shell V-Power Motorsport Park. To celebrate the opening, Coorong District Council will launch the weekend with a twilight street party being held from 5pm on Friday, 20 October 2023 in Tailem Bend’s main street on Railway Terrace.
