The Country Fire Service has confirmed the Fire Danger Season for the Murraylands, Riverland and Upper South East will begin on the 1st of November 2025.
Locals are being urged to prepare early by clearing gutters, removing dry grass, and making a bushfire survival plan before the warmer weather sets in.
CFS Strategy and Compliance Officer Phil McDonough says it’s important to take the threat of bushfire seriously, with hot, dry and windy conditions capable of turning a small spark into a fast-moving fire within minutes.
Dates for Adelaide, the Mount Lofty Ranges and Kangaroo Island are yet to be announced, while the Eastern Eyre and West Coast districts will begin their season on the 15th of October.
