A new BMX park is officially on the way for Murray Bridge, with the Rural City of Murray Bridge committing $230,000 towards the new facility.
The new setup will be built between the current skate park and the vacant Riverscape Restaurant, consisting of a track and a section for general jumps.
The long-discussed project was subject to negotiations around its cost following expensive earlier proposals; a scaled-back plan using local contractors and materials was approved late in 2025.
It follows years of campaigning from local riders, with the last dedicated park being removed in 2018.
An online petition by rider Shea Reddington, which called for definitive action, garnered more than 775 signatures.
The park is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
