Two Australians have been celebrated at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, with SA star Sarah Snook and Brisbane-born Jacob Elordi both taking home gongs.
Snook was named Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for her performance in All Her Fault. The mystery thriller mini-series streams on Binge in Australia and has already received multiple awards. Snook thanked the network and the cast and crew, saying filming the challenging series had been an “awesome time.”
For local fans, Snook’s win continues a remarkable international streak. The 38-year-old actor from Eden Hills has repeatedly earned recognition at major award ceremonies, further cementing her reputation as one of Australia’s most successful actors on the global stage.
She is best known for her starring role as Shiv Roy in the HBO drama series Succession (2018–2023), in which she has won two Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy.
Fellow Aussie Jacob Elordi won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Netflix’s Frankenstein. Elordi singled out director Guillermo del Toro in his acceptance speech, saying the project had fulfilled a dream he had since he was a child.
