A woman from Mannum has been named South Australia’s 2025 Young Farmer of the Year.
Narelle Zanker, 29, from Dairy Adventures Mannum received the award at the 2025 SA Dairy Awards Gala Dinner at Adelaide Oval on Friday night.
The awards dinner brought together more than 360 people from across the state’s dairy industry, with the accolade presented by Liberal MLC Nicola Centofanti.
Announcing the news the next morning on Facebook, Narelle Zanker said she felt incredibly blessed and honoured by the recognition.
“Being recognised for the work I do every day on the farm, as well as running Dairy Adventures and sharing our passion with visitors, is truly humbling,” Zanker said.
“A huge thank you to my husband, parents and family for their endless support, encouragement, and for always cheering me on in my passions and dreams.”
“The dairy industry is full of hardworking, passionate people, and I’m proud to be part of a community that’s shaping its future. If you’ve got dreams, chase them — you never know where they might take you.”
