The number of children receiving ADHD and mental health medications in the Adelaide Hills region has risen sharply over the past decade.
Figures show 2,956 young patients in the Adelaide Central and Hills area received prescriptions two years ago, compared with 931 a decade prior.
More broadly across SA, the Barossa and Yorke Peninsula regions recorded some of the highest rates per population, with about one in 15 young people receiving treatment.

Experts say the rise is being linked to a range of factors, including greater awareness of conditions and more families seeking diagnosis and treatment.
