Stolen Car Found Burnt Out in Wellington

A stolen ute was destroyed by fire on Langhorne Creek Road this morning.

Police were notified that a silver Mitsubishi Triton towing a trailer was stolen from a Wellington property about 4.45am today, Thursday 23 April.

The owner say they spotted it driving along Langhorne Creek Road, Wellington at 5am and alerted police.

Police located the abandoned ute, without the trailer, at 5.15am on Langhorne Creek Road, Mulgundawa, just west of Flagstaff Road.  The ute was fully engulfed in flames.

CFS crews attended and extinguished the blaze.

Police searched the area but the suspects have not been located.

The stolen silver Kessner trailer, registration S975TGE, is believed to have been towed away by a second vehicle.
