Stolen Ute Crashes in Murray Bridge – Teens Arrested

Four teenagers have been arrested after an allegedly stolen ute crashed into a fence during a police pursuit in Murray Bridge.

Police say a white Isuzu dual-cab ute was reported stolen from a home on Kintore Avenue about 8:15pm on Monday, September 7, following a break-in.

Less than 15 minutes later, police received a report that a white dual-cab had crashed into a fence on Gladstone Avenue before driving away.

Patrols later spotted the ute travelling east on Brinkley Road.It came to a stop in Frank Court, where all four occupants were arrested.

Police allege the driver, a 19-year-old Murray Bridge man, returned a positive roadside test for cannabis.

He has been charged with serious criminal trespass, illegal use, driving without due care and contravening the conditions of his learner’s permit.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court today, Tuesday the 8th of September.

The other occupants – a 14-year-old Woodcroft girl, a 16-year-old Christies Beach boy and a 19-year-old man – were charged with illegal use and resisting police.

The girl was also charged with breach of bail and was refused police bail. She is due to appear in the Murray Bridge Youth Court today.

The other two passengers were bailed to appear in court at later dates.
