The Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre is now fully built.
Mount Barker Council has taken over possession from the builder following the construction’s ‘practical completion’ on Friday.

The $52m facility includes a 25m competition/lap pool, a learn to swim pool, a shallow entry pool with water play, a warm water therapy pool, gym and fitness rooms, a creche and community meeting rooms, and a kiosk/cafe.

The finishing touches are being added, including the loading in of gym equipment.
Operators Belgravia Leisure are now able to start setting up ready for opening in August.
The centre has been developed by Mount Barker Council and has had the financial backing of the State and Federal Governments.
