Thanks to South Australian motorists buying koala state number plates, funding has been made available for our local wildlife carers.
About 2,200 plates have so far been purchased, raising $50 each to go towards a $50,000 Wildlife Rehab grant scheme in SA.
The money can be used for food, vaccinations, enclosures, training and protective equipment.

Last round a dozen groups got $5,000 each, including Bridgewater’s Koala Rescue.
