Disney has premiered the first trailer for “Mufasa: The Lion King,” the upcoming musical drama prequel to “The Lion King”.

This new film follows the 2019 photorealistic animated feature which was based on the original Disney animated 1994 film.

In “Mufasa: The Lion King” we will return to the savannah where Rafiki tells Kiara (Simba and Nala’s daughter) the story of her grandfather… who we the viewers are still trying crying to our therapists about. Timon and Pumbaa also add commentary along the way as they explore Mufasa’s younger days and the rift that forms with his brother Taka (later to become ‘Scar’).
