Police believe they have uncovered a suspected large-scale clandestine drug laboratory at a rural property in Ashbourne.
Members of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch located the suspected laboratory on Wednesday the 5th of August.
Police say a significant amount of equipment and chemicals consistent with the manufacture of a controlled drug were seized from the property.
A 37-year-old man from West Beach was arrested on Saturday by Serious and Organised Crime Branch detectives and charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and trafficking a controlled drug.
He was granted bail and is due to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on the 28th of October.
Police investigations are continuing.
