A 26-year-old man from Adelaide’s south has died following a workplace incident at Charleston in the Adelaide Hills.
Emergency services were called to a council-owned property on Harrison Road at about 6.20am yesterday, Wednesday 12 August, after reports of a serious industrial incident.
The man but he was pronounced dead at the scene following an attempted rescue by emergency service crews.
SafeWork SA investigators attended the property to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, with police assisting.
The property was closed to the public while the investigation was underway.
The Adelaide Hills Council has expressed its condolences to the man’s family, friends and colleagues, as well as the emergency services personnel who attended the scene.
A report is being prepared for the State Coroner.
