Member for Barker Tony Pasin is welcoming a new ACCC inquiry into mobile coverage across regional Australia.
The 12-month inquiry will consider domestic mobile roaming, which could allow customers without coverage to use another provider’s network.
He says mobile reception in the Murraylands, Riverland and South East has worsened since the 3G shutdown and that the inquiry could lead to better network reliability.
“Regional Australians have no faith in the Telco’s to deliver network resilience to their customers in regional communities, particularly in emergencies.”
