Weekend cricketing action resumed across our regions after last week’s washouts, with a run of important clashes highlighting play. Catch up on all the action here:

The Wanderers have dealt Meningie’s finals hopes a big blow on Saturday, as part of Round 12 action in the Murray Towns Cricket Association.

Shane Bown had a day out for the Wanderers in their five-wicket win, taking three wickets with the ball before posting 43 not out with the bat. 

Other results from the round saw the two league leaders in Mypolonga and Mannum tally comfortable wins.

GREAT SOUTHERN CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

Willunga has taken top spot of the Great Southern Cricket Association with three rounds to play, after beating former league leaders Port Elliot by 36 runs on Saturday. 

Simon Roberts made a run-a-ball 67 to help Willunga to 156 from their 40 overs, before Finlay Seers took 5/31 to restrict the hosts to 120.

Other key results saw Noarlunga solidify their place in fourth with a 9-wicket win over fifth-placed Mount Compass, while Encounter Bay bowled Victor Harbor out for just 28 in their 178-run win.

Scott Creek Ironbank is back on top of the Hills Cricket Association ladder’s merry-go-round, after they beat Kangarilla by 70 runs on Saturday in Round 12 action. 

Beau Thomas took a stunning 5/9 from 7 overs to hold Kangarilla to just 74 in their response to 9/144, putting Scott Creek Ironbank a game clear on top. 

Over in the Alexandra and Eastern Hills, another top of the table clash went the way of the league leader after Lobethal beat Langhorne Creek by four wickets.
