A dramatic tie in the Hills took the headlines across our region’s cricketing action on Saturday; catch up on all four leagues here:

The Hills Cricket Association continues to get wilder by the week, with a tie headlining another interesting round on Saturday.

In the first vs third matchup, Scott Creek Ironbank and Aldgate could not be separated with both sides being bowled out for 159 in a dramatic preview of the upcoming finals in five weeks’ time. 

Neither team is on top after the tie, with Mount Lofty jumping into first after a 6-wicket win over Bridgewater. 

GREAT SOUTHERN CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

Goolwa are on track to cause an upset after Day 1 of Round 11 in the Great Southern Cricket Association, after a strong showing against league leaders Willunga on Saturday. 

Seventh placed Goolwa bowled Willunga out for just 94, before reaching stumps at 1/23 in reply.

The top-four clash between Port Elliot and Noarlunga looks more evenly poised, with Port Elliot bowled out for 196 on the last ball of the day. 

ALEXANDRA AND EASTERN CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

The top four in the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association have pulled further away from the chasing pack, after all top four sides won against bottom four teams.

The action was headlined by Strathalbyn bowling Bremer Callington out for just 48, with captain Brayden Gaiter taking 5/7 in a stunning spell for the Stallions.

Saturday’s play leaves a three-game gap between fourth and fifth.

MURRAY TOWNS AND CRICKET ASSOCIATION (full scorecards here)

The top two of the Murray Towns Cricket Association have also continued to pull away ahead of finals, with Mypolonga and Mannum winning comfortably in Round 13 action on Saturday. 

The Tigers easily beat the Wanderers by 161 runs to stay clear on top, while Mannum claimed an important 58 run win over Monarto. 

In the battle between fifth and sixth, Meningie ran out 50-run winners over Tailem Bend.
