The Riverland battle on Fruit Fly has seen a good two weeks.
No new outbreaks were declared in the first 14 days of August, with sterile insect technology activities now ramping up again.
PIRSA General Manager of the Fruit Fly Emergency Response Program, Paul Dowsett, said that previous SIT releases had been successful in reducing the severity of previous outbreaks.

There’s currently 43 declared outbreaks that are set to end of the 23rd of December, pending no further detections.
