It is official; Goolwa will get its Community Christmas Concert this year, following several funding and planning obstacles.
Thanks to the support of Alexandrina Council and several businesses including Ray White Goolwa Victor Harbor, Goolwa Rotary has been able to get their plan off the ground.
There were concerns the event would not be possible due to last minute planning, financial and insurance hurdles, but it has now been locked in for 17 December 17 at the Goolwa Sporting Complex.
“Gates open at 5:30pm, bring your picnic rug and chairs, come enjoy some food and drinks by our local community groups and businesses,” Goolwa Rotary said on Facebook over the weekend.
“Father Christmas will be making an appearance, the Goolwa Band will be playing as we sing along to Christmas songs with Sing Australia, the Goolwa Primary School Choir and others. There will be free face painting and hopefully some other attractions.”
The event will be an alcohol free community family friendly event.
