More Arrests Made Following Tailem Bend Drug Seizure

Two more people have been arrested following investigations into a drug seizure in Tailem Bend last month.

Police allegedly found three kilograms of methamphetamine, three litres of meth oil, 14 grams of cocaine, 4000 ecstasy tablets and $35,000 cash when they searched the Tailem Bend property on January 18, leading to the arrest of a 48-year-old Sellicks Hill man.

A 45-year-old Gilles Plains man and a 37-year-old Prospect woman were arrested yesterday in relation to the alleged operation in the Murraylands.

The Gilles Plains man was charged with two counts of trafficking in a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug, trafficking in a controlled drug and money laundering in connection with the Tailem Bend seizure.  

He was refused police bail and will appear in court today.

The Prospect woman was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and will face court on May 1.
