There has been a fatal crash in Noarlunga Downs overnight.
About 9.40pm Tuesday 17 October, police and emergency services were called to Barcelona Road after reports of a collision between a Mitsubishi station wagon and a motorbike.
The motorcyclist, a 46-year-old man from Port Willunga, died at the scene.
Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the collision.
The driver of the station wagon, a 51-year-old woman, who was not injured, is assisting police with their enquiries.
The road was closed for a period while Major Crash officers investigated the scene. It has since reopened.
The man’s death is the 92nd life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 57 at the same time last year.
It is also the the 18th motorcyclist fatality in 2023 so far, compared to nine for the entire 2022 year.
