CFS crews were called to an intense structure fire at a residential property in Tailem Bend, in the Murraylands at around 5:45 pm yesterday, Thursday 23 February.
Six CFS crews, with approximately twenty-four firefighters were on scene, supported by SA Police and SA Ambulance. SA Power Networks were also called to the incident to isolate power.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a single-story property engulfed in flames. Firefighters used defensive techniques to extinguish and prevent further spread of the fire.
Two occupants were evacuated from the property and were treated by paramedics.
One woman is believed to have suffered burns to her airway as well as smoke inhalation. She was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.
Losses have been estimated at approximately $150,000.
No cause has yet been identified. Fire Investigators are investigating.
