HILLS FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Division One results here, Country Division results here)

Lobethal have pulled off an amazing comeback to claim a vital win over Onkaparinga Valley in Round Three action of Division One of the Hills Football League on Saturday.

Trailing by 42 points at halftime, the Tigers erased the deficit with a blistering third term, before they held on to win a 4-point thriller, moving them into third on the ladder.

Other results from the round saw Mount Lofty beat Uraidla Districts by 25, while Nairne Bremer won their first game of the year with a 56-point win over Echunga.

In the Country Division, Birdwood pulled off a comeback of their own, coming from 15 down at three quarter time to beat Torrens Valley by 10 while Gumeracha and Meadows tallied big wins. 

GREAT SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

Victor Harbor have sent a strong statement to the rest of the Great Southern Footy League on Saturday by cruising past Encounter Bay by 73 points in Round Three action.

Bryce Gibbs’ debut could not have gone better for the Roos, as they ran riot after quarter time to confirm their place at the top of the table.

The other major result from Saturday’s matches came from the grand final replay, with Willunga dropping to 0-3 after McLaren Districts surged away in the final quarter to win by 38.

RIVER MURRAY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (full results here)

The Coorong Cats and Mannum have announced themselves as genuine contenders in the River Murray Footy League, after both sides remained undefeated following Round Three action on Saturday. 

Mannum held firm in a low-scoring contest to shock Imperial by 17 points, while the Cats cruised past last year’s grand finalists in Mypolonga to win by 71.

Other matches from the round saw Rambler beat Tailem Bend by 18 in an entertaining contest, while Southern Mallee recorded their first win of the season as they beat Mallee Districts by 44.
