A second man has been arrested after a Murray Bridge man was charged over a robbery at Clovelly Park this week.
About 11.10am Monday 7 August, police were called to a second-hand store on South Road after two men, allegedly armed with a firearm and hammers, entered threatened staff before stealing jewellery and cash. Thankfully staff were not physically injured.
The men then allegedly fled the scene on separate motorcycles. PolAir were called in and quickly picked up one of the motorbikes tracking it across the metropolitan area before it eventually stopped at a house in Penzance Avenue, Christies Beach about 12.30pm.
A 35-year-old Murray Bridge man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, theft, dangerous driving, unregistered, uninsured, unlicenced, and breach of bail. He was refused bail and appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
About 7pm on Thursday 18 August, police with the assistance of STAR Group officers attended a licenced premises on South Road and arrested a 31-year-old Christie Downs man without incident.
He is expected to be charged with a number of serious offences including aggravated robbery.
