At around 10:30pm, police responded to calls for assistance following reports of a single-vehicle incident.
Investigations into the crash found that a Toyota sedan lost control and went down an embankment, crashing into a tree in the process.
The teenager was left with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old driver from Richmond and an 18-year-old passenger from Basket Range were also taken to hospital.
