Campers could have a new venue on the South Coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula in future if a proposal gets the go-ahead.
The Encounter Bay Footy Club is looking to use the land around their oval for short-term campers, in a bid to help raise more funds for the club.
In the proposal, self-contained campers would be able to park around the grounds at 51 Armstrong Road, Victor Harbor, and use the club’s facilities during their stay.
The club is adamant the move would not be in competition with local holiday parks as it would only operate during peak periods when other sites are fully booked.
The City of Victor Harbor is seeking feedback on the idea, with a 12-month trial to be implemented if enough support is garnered.
The survey is at the City of Victor Harbor website and is open until 5pm Friday 14 July 2023.
