Domestic mobile roaming has been put back into the spotlight, following a new report released yesterday.

The Australian Communications Consumer Action Network is calling for all telcos to implement the change, which would enable anyone access to an available mobile network regardless of their provider.

The move would be a win for regional areas with well-established mobile black spots, including Brukunga, Pinnaroo, Deep Creek and Lameroo.

Their latest report shows a wide range of community support for domestic mobile roaming, with 73 percent of respondents in favour of the move.

The move was shut down by the ACCC in 2017 .. citing a fear that infrastructure investment in regional and rural areas would slow.
