Power Lines Down, Traffic Blocked in Strath

A large section of Long Valley Road at Strathalbyn has been closed, following an incident in which power lines were brought down.

At around 9.45am this morning, police and SA Power Networks (SAPN) were called after it is believed a truck clipped a power line.

SA Power Networks are on scene.

Traffic is being turned around and could be affected for another couple of hours according to police (until around 1.30pm).

Authorities are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible. Traffic is being diverted via Hillview Road and Gemmells Road.
